Huff one of nine to receive Kimball scholarship

[caption id="attachment_19228" align="alignright" width="248"]Sequoya Huff Sequoya Huff[/caption] SUBMITTED by Kimball International Nine high-school seniors, including an Ohio County High School senior, earned scholarships under Kimball International’s annual college scholarship program. As of this year, 395 Kimball scholarships worth over $3 million have been awarded to Kimball International employees’ children since the program started in 1963. Each of the nine students will receive a one-time $1,200 scholarship. The winners are: Cole Erny, son of Kimball Electronics-Jasper’s Bryan Erny, is a senior at Jasper High School in Jasper, Ind. Laura Renner, daughter of National Office Furniture’s Donna Renner, is a senior at Jasper High School in Jasper, Ind. Gage Daily, son of National Office Furniture-Jasper 11th Avenue’s Gregory Daily, is a senior at Jasper High School in Jasper, Ind. William Schepers, son of Corporate Shared Services Glen Schepers, is a senior at Northeast Dubois High School in Dubois, Ind. Randi Flick, son of National Office Furniture-Jasper 11th Avenue’s Angie Flick, is a senior at Jasper High School in Jasper, Ind. Latesha Merkel, daughter of National Office Furniture’s Mike Merkel, is a senior at Northeast Dubois High School in Dubois, Ind. Craig Pund, son of National Office Furniture-Jasper 11th Avenue’s Curtis Pund, is a senior at Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Ind. Sequoya Huff, daughter of National Office Furniture-Fordsville’s Jim Huff, is a senior at Ohio County High School in Hartford, Ky. Michael Chavez, son of Kimball Hospitality-Martinsville’s Eduardo Chavez, is a senior at Magna Vista High School in Ridgeway, Va. The Kimball International Scholarship Program offers educational opportunities to qualified young men and women who are children/dependents of full-time employees of the company. Eligible students may apply for one-time scholarships. Recipients were chosen by a committee entirely independent of Kimball. Since 1952, The Kimball International-Habig Foundation has contributed more than $12.9 million to all kinds of charities and other worthwhile community causes — including funding the scholarship program.
