The Ohio County High baseball Eagles broke out of a two-game offensive slump Thursday, beating Owensboro 18-3 in six innings at Owensboro's Shifley Park.  Thursday's 13-hit attack included eight for extra bases, including a home run. Ohio County scored three times in each of their first two at-bats to stake starting pitcher Jake Griffin with a quick 6-0 lead.  That lead ballooned to 12-0 with a six-run outburst in the top of the fifth. Chris Logsdon relieved Griffin in the bottom of the fifth, with OHS scoring three times in that at-bat.  But the Eagles then put six more runs on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth to push out to the 18-3 advantage.  Logsdon shut the Red Devils out in the bottom of that inning to end the game early on the run rule. Brennon Leach had Ohio County's home run and also had a bunt single while Matt Wilkerson and T.J. Smith each hit safely three times.  Wilkerson, Smith, Logsdon, and Zach Johnson all tripled, with Smith, Kiah Gledhill, and Blaine Gillim adding doubles. Griffin struck out eight OHS batters and walked five in getting the win. Ohio Co.
