Ohio County High School's 2014 baseball Eagles are scheduled to host Hopkins County Central Storm Saturday in a preseason scrimmage at OCHS' Leach Field.  The three-hour scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m. On Monday, March 10, Coach Bobby Wise's team is scheduled to visit Logan County for a final preseason scrimmage in preparation for their March 14 season-opener at Whitesville Trinity. The Eagles played an intersquad game last Saturday, with assistant coach Ben Everley's Elite team downing assistant coach Steven Reese's team 4-2.  Saturday's scrimmage was also a clinic for Third Region umpires. Saturday night a crowd estimated between 150-200 attended a "Meet the Players" dinner at the OCHS cafeteria.  Along with the spaghetti dinner, those on hand could also take part in a silent auction of a large number of donated items.  All proceeds from the event went to baseball program. Wise introduced his 2014 varsity and junior varsity squads at Saturday's affair:  Colton Black, Brennon Leach, Tristan Lykins, Mac Marshall, T.J. Smith, Matthew Wilkerson, Collin Wydick, Drake Bowlds, Logan Cooper, Andrew Dorris, Kiah Gledhill, Jake Griffin, Zack Johnson, Nate Morris, Lawson Clayton, Logan Eaton, Chris Logsdon, Brice Phelps, Cole Bullock, Will Davis, Michael Griffin, J.J. Smith, Blaine Gillim, and Zach Gledhill. Also introduced were the Eagle freshman team:  Colby Garner, Grayson Harpole, Morgan Marksberry, Bubba Reddish, Alan Zamora, Drew Bradley, Nicholas Christian, Boen Geary, Jaxon Lindsey, Austin Minton, Brady Morphew, Jacob Pharis, Seth Stevens, Tristen Armstrong, Bryce Basham, Caden Brown, Trystan Clothier, Eli Hatfield, Zeke Hatfield, Caleb Kennedy, and John Raymond Parker.
