An accident Tuesday afternoon sent one woman to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police (KSP), the KSP responded to an accident with injuries on Tilford Dr. and KY269/Prentiss Rd. yesterday around 5:35 p.m.
Amanda Wright, 33, of Beaver Dam, was driving a Dodge Caliber east on Tilford Dr. and attempting to left onto Prentiss Rd. At the same time, Dorie Phelps, 41, of Beaver Dam, was driving a Chevy Cobalt south on Prentiss Rd. Wright’s car struck Phelps' car in the front passenger side causing it to slide into an earth embankment.
Phelps was transported to the Ohio County Hospital by ambulance where she was treated for minor injuries.
The KSP was assisted by the Beaver Dam Fire Department, Ohio County EMS and Beaver Dam Police Department. The investigation is still ongoing.
