Four people were sent to the hospital after a car accident on the William Natcher Parkway yesterday.
According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, around 2:45 p.m. yesterday, Janet Edwards, 57, of Tell City, Ind., was traveling south on the William Natcher Parkway in the right lane of traffic. She was driving a 2008 Chevy Malibu. Charla Raymer, 53, of Beaver Dam, was also traveling south on the William Natcher Parkway in the left lane of traffic, driving a 2013 Chevy Malibu.
As she was trying to merge into the left lane, Edwards was struck in the rear driver side by Raymer.
Both Raymer and her passenger, Hannah Raymer, 20, of Beaver Dam, were transported to the Ohio County Hospital by EMS, where they were treated for minor injuries.
Edwards and her passenger, Wayne Edwards, 64, of Tell City, were transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Regional Medical Center where they were also treated for injuries.
The KSP was assisted in this accident by the Ohio County Sheriff's Department, the Hartford Fire Department, The Beaver Dam Fire Department, Ohio County EMS and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
