The Ohio County Eagles beat Hopkins County Central 72-37 Monday night at the OCHS in a game that was about as close as the final score indicated. Monday's win was Ohio County's third in a row, putting them over the .500 mark for the first time this year.
Eagle guards Matthew Sloyan and Trevor Lewis combined for a dozen first-period points as OCHS took a 20-8 lead over their guests. Ohio County got balanced scoring the second quarter, pushing out to a 35-15 halftime bulge.
Lewis' eight third-period points helped the Eagles to a 56-26 lead after three quarters and they coasted to the win. Lewis led all scorers with 19 points while dishing out six assists. Sloyan was next with 17 while forward Trace Young popped in 10. No Storm players managed double digits in scoring.
