The Kentucky State Police has kicked off its fourth annual Cram the Cruiser holiday food drive. Cram the Cruiser will be held at Rice’s Pharmacy on Saturday, December 7.
Anyone can drop off canned goods as well as paper goods (towels, plates, napkins). All proceeds will be delivered to the Ohio County Food Pantry to help families in need.
“There are about 200 more families receiving services this year over last year”, says Patti Boone with the Ohio County Food Pantry. “That’s almost a 30% increase.”
Melissa Wayne of Rice’s Pharmacy states, “Clearly there is a great need in Ohio County, so hopefully there will be a lot of participation in this year’s Cram the Cruiser food drive.”
A KSP vehicle will be in Rice’s parking lot on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
