OC’s Griffin selected to Senior All-Star squad

[caption id="attachment_27299" align="aligncenter" width="675"] OC senior pitcher Jake Griffin delivers to the plate.[/caption] Ohio County High’s Jake Griffin was one of two Third Region seniors voted to the 2015 West Senior All-Star Team by a vote of the members of the region’s coaches’ association last Saturday. Griffin was a selection for the West Junior All-Stars last year. Apollo’s Ryan Hundley was also selected for the squad, with Grayson County’s Wyatt Skaggs chosen as an alternate. Ohio County’s Kiah Gledhill and Zach Johnson were nominated for the team. OCHS sophomore Will Davis was a nominee for the 2015 Third Region Sophomore Showcase, but was not chosen by in the coaches’ poll. Daviess County’s Jack Schneider and Muhlenberg County’s Hunter Combs will represent the region in the showcase with Owensboro Catholic’s Maddex Richardson as an alternate. Catholic’s Ray Zuberer and Apolllo’s Jakob Shuler were voted to represent the region on the West Junior All-Star Team with Meade County’s Kase Mattingly and Whitesville Trinity’s Drew Mills alternates.
