Expect slick spots on some roads and bridges. Use extra caution if traveling.
***ORIGINAL POST***
The National Weather Service in Louisville has placed Ohio County under a Special Weather Statement for tonight into early Saturday morning.
A mix of rain, sleet and snow will continue over the area this afternoon and into the evening hours. With road and air temperatures above freezing, no impacts are expected. However, some locations could see a brief accumulation of snow and sleet on grassy surfaces in heavier bursts.
A mix of snow and sleet will continue this evening with a change over to all snow expected around nightfall. The best chance for around a half-inch of snow accumulation will be along and southeast of a Bowling Green to Elizabethtown to Frankfurt line. Up to an inch of snow is possible from Lake Cumberland to Richmond.
While Ohio County has been included in this Special Weather Statement, a dusting to a half-inch of snow is all that is expected.
