Elizabeth Kathleen Lile

Elizabeth Kathleen Lile, 91, of Greenville, died Monday morning Nov. 10, 2014, at 10:40 a.m. in Diversicare of Greenville after a lengthy illness. She was born April 21, 1923, in Ohio County, Ky., the daughter of Charlie Vinson and Mabel Brown Vinson. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a grocery clerk for Big Johns for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years, Irvin Lile, on Feb. 8, 2000; son, Jeffery Lile in 1960; daughters, Kathy Joan Lile in 1962, Peggy Stevens in 2011; brothers, Ernest “Jack” Vinson, Charles Vinson; and sister, Bertha Saling. Survived by daughter, Patricia (Gene) Cobb, of Graham, Ky.; two sons, Barry(Linda) Lile, of Greenville, Ky., Larry (Celesta) Lile, of Bremen, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Pam (Marty) Rowe, Neal (Rhonda) Stevens, Tammy (Troy) Courtney, Brian (Candace) Lile, Tracy Cline, Brad (Chelynne) Lile, Jamie (Carl) Moore and Lindsey (Rodney) Decker; 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Friends may call Wednesday afternoon Nov. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky., and after 9 a.m. Thursday until Funeral Time. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon Nov. 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky., by Rev. Darren Pentecost with burial to follow in Cave Spring Cemetery.
