Three charged with burglary of Lil’ Stevie’s

Three Ohio County men were arrested and charged with burglary after an early morning break-in at Lil' Stevie's Pizza. According to the Beaver Dam Police Department (BDPD), witnesses observed three men breaking into Lil' Stevie's Pizza early Monday morning. The thieves entered the restaurant through a back door and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses called the BDPD and provided Officer Tommy Phelps with a description of the three men, as well as their vehicle. A short time later, Officer Phelps located the vehicle and the three men at the 40 Block of Birch Street in Beaver Dam. After speaking with the suspects, the stolen money was recovered and the three men were arrested. Houston Maggard, 19, of Cromwell and Brandon Hearld, 20, of Beaver Dam were both charged with one count of third degree burglary. Matthew Swan, 18, of Beaver Dam was charged with two counts of third degree burglary and two counts of theft by unlawful taking under $500. According to Chief Mike Allen, Swan also confessed to burglarizing Lil' Stevie's Pizza on July 9, which is why he was charged with two counts of burglary and theft by unlawful taking.  All three men were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
