A Fordsville man was charged with DUI after a one car accident last night.
According to the Kentucky State Police (KSP), on Sunday night around 10:20 p.m., Russell Colbert, 29, of Fordsville, was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer traveling north on Hardinsburg Road. He lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and struck a fence.
Colbert and his passenger, Tiffany Swift, 27, of Horse Branch, attempted to flee the scene on foot and were located by a passerby.
Colbert was transported to Ohio County Hospital to be treated for minor injury. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and first degree DUI.
The KSP was assisted by the Ohio County EMS and the Fordsville Fire Department.
