Hatfield graduates from Academy of Police Supervision

Sgt. Timothy Hatfield with Ohio County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training, Academy of Police Supervision in Richmond, Ky., on Friday, June 27,2014. 

The graduation was the culmination of an intensive three-week academy that exposed the officers to contemporary supervision problems while offering strategies and accepted practices to address difficult issues.

Hatfield has been a law enforcement officer for a total of 11 years. He was previously employed as a police officer in Asheville, N.C., and for the past three and a half years has been with the OCSD.   

After working as a detective investigating major crime cases, he was promoted to sergeant in charge of the Investigations Division. During his time in Ohio County, he has exhibited excellent investigative skills and a strong commitment for serving the people of this community.   

Hatfield also represents OCSD by serving on the Board of Directors for the Children's Advocacy Center. Hatfield has an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement from Vincennes University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Ball State University. 

The OCSD is proud of his achievements and look forward to his continued leadership within the agency.
