Inmate escapes OC Detention Center, authorities ask for public’s help

If you have any information, contact the authorities.[/caption] An inmate in the Ohio County Detention Center walked away from the facility and the authorities are asking for the public's help in finding him. Steven Brown, a trustee on second shift, walked away from the Ohio County Detention Center on Tuesday night around 10 p.m., according to a press release from the Ohio County Detention Center. Brown gained access to an entrance/exit way while deputies were performing their duties distributing medication to the cells. Brown is serving a sentence of six months for contempt on the charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and being a persistent felony offender.  Brown is 5-11 and weighs 175 pounds. He has a shaved head and mustache and several tattoos, one of a heart on his left breast, another is the name Tonya on his left arm and the name Michelle on his right arm.
