Ohio County High’s soccer Eagles kicked off their 2014 season with a four-day youth camp last week at OCHS’ Russell Soccer Field.  Coaches Jeff York and Scott Harp, along with former Eagle players — now collegiate players at Kentucky Wesleyan — Travis Foreman and Carson Harp and returning members of the Eagle varsity and JV teams, conducted the camp which was attended by 41 players from ages 4 through 12.

The nightly sessions focused on four areas of soccer: dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball possession.  The camp ended Friday night with a match between the campers and their coaches.

According to the OCHS staff, the annual camp was again a great success.

Other summer activities for the Eagle soccer program:  conditioning/skills workouts—June 9-21; Eagle Alumni vs. prospective 2014 squad—June 21; team camp, conducted by Brescia University squad — July 10-13; team tryouts — July 15.
