Ohio County’s TLBC Summer Baseball League squad split a pair of games Friday night at home, losing to McLean County then rallying to beat Hancock County. The league continues through June 21. McLean County got to Ohio County starter Drake Bunch for four hits and four runs in the top of the first inning in Friday’s first game, before Bunch settled down to allow just one hit and no runs over the next three innings. But Ohio County couldn’t muster much offense against McLean County’s Landon Adelman in the early-going. The host team managed to push across single runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth but fell short of a tie. Lawson Clayton and Kiah Gledhill each had two hits for Ohio County with Clayton, Will Davis, and Zach Johnson picking up RBIs. McLean Co.      4    0    0    0    1 — 5    6     2 Ohio Co.(4-1)    1    0    0    1    1 — 3    6    0 WP-Adelman. LP-Bunch. 2B-Davis (OC), Wilson (MC). Ohio County also fell behind in the nightcap before righting itself for a 4-3 win. Hancock County scratched out a run with no hits in the bottom of the first, then held that 1-0 edge until the third inning. Cody Casteel’s single and walk to Drake Bunch set up Kiah Gledhill’s base-clearing triple with Gledhill scoring on an error at the end of the play as well. Johnson then doubled, moved to third on a flyball out, and scored on a wild pitch to give the local boys a 4-1 lead. But a pair of Ohio County errors and Hancock County’s lone hit of the game helped Hancock County scored twice in the bottom of the third to cut the margin to 4-3. Johnson then closed the game by retiring the final six batters in succession. Johnson also finished with a pair of hits. Ohio Co.(5-1)    0    0   4   0    0 — 4    4    3 Hancock Co.    1    0    2    0    0 — 3    1    1 WP-Johnson. LP-Herndon. 2B-Johnson (OC). 3B-K.Gledhill (OC). Next games: 6/10 at Leitchfield — Ohio Co. vs. Grayson Co.—5 p.m.; Ohio Co. vs. Muhlenberg Co. — 9 p.m.
